THE SPILL CANVAS | GATEWAY DRUG

Who? Yah, the only band to ever come out of South Dakota I used to love but then they fell off the face of the earth after their last album? Well, The Spill Canvas are back, and of course, with a new solid track called “Gateway Drug”. Expect new music as their in the processing of writing a new album and will be posting updates via video blogs this month. I’m glad these dudes are back on the map, not going to lie, I was missing them!

THE EMPTINESS TOUR

Fearless Records announced Monday that A Skylit Drive and The Word Alive will be joining Alesana’s headlining tour this February. The tour name comes from Alesana’s upcoming album entitled, yes, you guessed it, The Emptiness. Also supporting the tour is Of Mice And Men & We Came As Romans. Pre-sale tickets are available starting today, so get ‘em quick, this should be a cool show. The tour rolls through LA March 8th @ the El Rey Theatre. Yay!

I caught these guys at the Troubador last week with Johnny Craig & Cinematic Sunrise. Not only did I fall in love with lead vocalist Kellin Quinn but the band is pretty damn amazing. They recently signed to Rise Records and it’s well deserved. The kid can hit high notes like Mariah and the mash up between R&B style flows and heavy guitar chugs is incredible. The crowd ate these guys up! If you’re a fan of Johnny Craig style vox get into these dudes! They’ll be touring the Midwest w/ LoveHateHero, Four Letter Lie & Of Machines January to February.

ELLIE GOULDING | STARRY EYED

If you personally know me & have been hanging out with me this past month, I’m sure you’re sick of Ellie Goulding. I honestly can’t get enough of this lady. I discovered her through a Baby Monster remix of her single “Under The Sheets” and instantly fell in love. Her beautifully toned voice followed by dancey, turntable-esque effects is bound to draw you in. Ellie plays a SOLD OUT first headline London show tonight @ Cargo, then hits the road with Little Boots and Passion Pit.

THE ALMOST | MONSTER MONSTER ALBUM PREMIER ON MYSPACE

The Almost are now streaming their entire new album Monster Monster via Myspace. The album drops next Tuesday, November 3rd. I love these guys, so definitely grab a copy! They’re currently on tour with The Used and hit Los Angeles venue The Wiltern on November 9th.

MICKEY AVALON | TRAVIS BARKER, DR. LUKE WORK ALBUM #2

MTV posted a cool article about Mickey Avalon’s upcoming album. From being produced by Dr. Luke (Katy Perry, Flo Rida, Miley Cyrus) to having top notch guest spots (which he has yet to mention, except w/ Travis Barker), sounds like it’s going to be supa dupa fresh. If that’s the case… grab a —– and a —- and get ready! His new song “Stroke Me” which samples the very talented Billy Squier is now for sale at iTunes, pick it up!
